Rodeo Drive is so much fun for a date night! But one word to the wise – get there much earlier than you think! We left earlier than we normally do for a date night so that we had plenty of time to look in the shops. We got there a little before 6, only to find that most of the stores closed at 6! Even on a Friday night. The American designer stores do stay open till 7, so we were able to peek in a few. But it wasn’t quite the day dreaming window shopping night that we had in mind. But we did eat at an amazing restaurant right up the famous Rodeo Drive cobblestone street, called 208 Rodeo. Not too expensive. Garrett said it was the best steak he had ever had in his life. And he doesn’t take statements like that lightly.

This crochet dress has really been pulling it’s weight in my closet. It was the perfect dress for both my brother and my sister in law’s weddings this spring. It was also the perfect date night dress for a stroll down Rodeo Drive last month for our 7 year anniversary. I searched high and low for a dress like this and ended up finding it at TJ Maxx of all places. That place can be a gold mine if you go at the right time. Isn’t it funny how something as simple as an ivory dress can be everywhere you look, but nowhere in sight when you actually need it? The sleeves were a bit baggy on me, so I ended up taking them in to be more fitted. I did some digging around online and found some other great ivory dresses here, here, and here (if you happen to be on a similar hunt….you’re very welcome).
