While the fall weather may not be cooperating with us in Southern California, I am so excited for everything that this season brings. I’ve put up some of our fall decor around the house, started to burn my fall candles, and even made some little halloween ghosts with the boys to hang from the trees in our front yard.
I have to force fall around these parts since its been so blazing hot, but the nights have started to cool down at least! We recently got this beautiful patio set from Walker Edison and I love it! It is amazing quality (think Pottery Barn, but more affordable) and is perfect for the space. The patio has become an extension of our home. We especially love to sit out there in the early evenings as it starts to cool off. Being removed from the TV and computer has stirred up some fun conversations with the boys too (granted….they might involve poop and bugs).Today I have teamed up with Walker Edison to give away this same patio set to one of you! It is the perfect addition for these beautiful fall nights. Head on over to my instagram to enter. (a $470 value!)

A few nights ago we celebrated the first day of fall by sitting out on the porch and eating my favorite chocolate chip cookies. I make these pumpkin cookies each year during the fall. I am NOT a baker. I just don’t have patience for sifting and measuring. Bread and cookies that I make never turn out that great. But these…these cookies I can do. They take 3 ingredients and are pretty foolproof. I even let two three-year-olds help me make them. Here is the recipe…
Easiest Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cookies
- 1 box Spice Cake Mix (18 oz)
- 1 can of pumpkin (15 oz)
- 1 bag of chocolate chips (12 oz)
Mix ingredients all together. Bake at 350 for 15-18 minutes (16 minutes usually works best for me). aaaand DONE! Even I can’t mess these suckers up.
