Today is the day! The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is finally open to the public! I know exactly how excruciating that wait can be if you aren’t a card holder. I’ve plowed through hundreds of sale items in the Women’s department (you can view my favorites here), but today I decided to give the Men’s department some attention.
Usually for my Men’s Nordstrom Anniversary Sale roundup I turn my computer over to Garrett and let him do the picking. But this year, I did the picking. Garrett wears a suit and tie everyday to work, so he has plenty of dress shirts, shoes, slacks, etc. But he has been really lacking in some good casual clothes. I’m really picky when it comes to clothes, but Garrett is just as picky. When he finds a shirt he likes, he wears it forever, and usually buys it in 3 colors (black, grey, and white..always). The same goes for jeans and shoes. He will wear them out ’til they have holes. So I went on a mission to find the best casual tee, great fitting jean, and classic sneaker that Nordstrom has. Here are the winners:
- This tee. It’s really soft with a ‘lived in’ feel, but not see through. V necks are great, but they can hit at a weird spot, so this small button henley neck is a perfect alternative.
- These jeans. Garrett has gravitated towards Levi’s for years. He loves them because they are durable and fit him well. I was excited to find this slim pair that fit great! They are narrow, but not too tight.
- These shoes. They are my favorite of the 3 pieces. Garrett loves Jack Purcell’s and wore out his last pair. I went with black leather because they look a little nicer for date nights and will last forever. They are really handsome and a classier version of the Chucks.
I also have to note that Garrett and I often fight over who gets to wear his sunglasses. I got them for him for Father’s Day last year, but I kind of fell in love with wearing them too. Sometimes I’ll grab them off his face if we are doing a shoot and I forgot mine.
The Nordstrom sale has some really great men’s items. Lots of good casual shoes. I also love this chambray top and this basic hoodie. Men’s wardrobes might not be as diverse as women, but that doesn’t mean they can’t be full of great pieces. Here are all my favorite picks for the dudes:
