BOW BLOUSE (SIMILAR HERE) | WHITE DISTRESSED PANTS| TAN OPEN TOE SANDALS (SIMILAR HERE AND HERE) | KATE SPADE BAG | SUNGLASSES

Sometimes it’s hard to make a call on whether an item will stay in season or not. Specifically, pieces that work for the summer that will carry you through fall. There are two trends that I have been seeing popping up all over throughout summer that I know will continue to be popular in the fall. An open toe bootie in a neutral tan, and a bow blouse.

A tan open toe bootie is wearable in the summer because it acts almost like a sandal. I am always drawn to nude or cognac boots, and those are the ones in my closet that definitely get worn the most. I grabbed these on the very first day of the Nordstrom Sale, and as I predicted, they sold out in a heartbeat. I kept checking and checking throughout the sale, but they never restocked them. I saw a similar pair last year at the sale, and I have been kicking myself for not getting them. But I did some digging and I found a handful of really similar open toe booties that could be worn just as easily with my look above. I think this pair is the closest to my original pair, and I fell in love with this style.

The bow blouse is an extra feminine twist to the blouse. I am such a sucker for a bow detail, as long as it is done tastefully. I love the idea of the bow, as a slight nod to the men’s bowtie. This pretty floral bow blouse is brand new, and I love the fall color palette. I also love the look with the ties untied. It’s still feminine and pretty, but a little undone, which sometimes can be the key to the perfect outfit. Here are some of my favorite current styles…
