While I love dressing in big coats and scarves and booties, most of my fall outfits have to be a little more practical and kid friendly. I am so excited about the sneaker trend, because it’s a no brainer to add to a casual outfit.
As I’ve gone through my closet mentally prepping a few fall looks, there are 3 items that I know I will be rotating through and are versatile enough to add to multiple casual looks.
This is the perfect fall jacket and it goes with so many different looks! I dressed it up a bit more in this post. The one I am wearing is still available but in super limited sizes, but this jacket is just a tad lighter olive green, and similarly priced.
There are a lot of good basic white canvas sneakers out there, but I was drawn to these because of the gold toe. It adds a little pop, but isn’t too overwhelming. These ones are a little more of a nod to the platform trend..which I’m not sure I’m totally into. I’m ok with these ones because they aren’t too crazy. I do refer to them as my ‘Spice Up Your Life’ shoes. 😉
This top has been on rotation in my closet for years, and it always gets the most wear in the fall. Did you know that Nordstrom just started carrying J.Crew? This top is slim and long and well worth the price. I bought 3 other navy gingham tops that ended up being too thick or boxy before settling on this one. I was shocked when I saw this top on Nordstrom! I think it’s a great brand pairing, and I can’t wait to see what styled Nordstrom adds from their collection. I also think this gingham top at Nordstrom is darling too. The gingham print is small enough to pair with larger prints (like ), and always looks great paired under cozy sweaters.
