If you watched any of my instastories last week, you probably saw me wearing these booties. I think I wore them almost every day that week; I couldn’t get enough of them! The booties are part of Born’s new fall line at Dillard’s, and I’m excited to partner with them today to talk about how I transitioned these boots throughout the week. I can’t always get away with chunky sweaters and scarves during the afternoon in my part of California, but I feel like I can always justify a good pair of booties during a California fall.
Here is a little breakdown of how I styled these comfy boots during my day with the kids, and on a date night with Garrett.

DAYTIME:
I walked uphill and downhill to get Bradley from school in these boots, and they were so comfortable (I don’t wear socks with them either, and they run true to size). I’m usually rushing out the door last minute for pickups and just grab the closest pair of shoes. These boots have a stretchy ankle without any clasps or buckles, so they are flexible and slip on quickly as I grab my purse, sippy cup, my beloved pink water tumbler, and Eli. They are surprisingly light weight so I didn’t feel like I was clomping around in them when we went to the park after school. Eli is always on the move now, and these booties let me chase after him easily. He sits in his stroller for about 5 minutes now before he wants to get out and walk on his own.
DATE NIGHT:
The shape and cognac color make these Born boots transition easily into a simple date night look. I love pairing black and cognac, so I threw on a simple black knit shift dress, a black floppy hat, and balanced out the boots with a neck bandana for a little unexpected twist (I’m loving this trend by the way).
