I also found another cute option that just has a little velvet detailing. I think the trick to wearing velvet is to wear a few toned down pieces that balance it out. (I also found this black velvet blazer that would look so cute with a simple white tee and jeans)
I paired it with heels for a date night look, but you could dress it down easily with a leather jacket and a cute pair of studded boots. I think throwing in a bigger casual tote bag also good way to morph a dressy top into a casual piece.
