The Velvet Executive Blazer

I had been keeping my eye out for a navy velvet blazer everywhere, until I finally found this one. Blazers are so easy to throw over a shirt and go, adding an effortless put-together look. The velvet also dresses a causal look up a little more, which I like. This blazer is a really nice quality, with a great fit to it, and it’s on sale for under $45 now! This blazer will be a piece you can easily wear throughout the winter with lots of different looks.

I want to start incorporating a little more “real life” thoughts into my fashion posts..funny things that happen with this kids, random products I’m loving, answer questions I get frequently in my DMs…things like that. I love to have comments and good discussions on my instagram, and was to work a bit harder to develop that same kind of community feel in the comments on my blog posts. So here it goes with the first outfit post of 2018…

THREE THINGS

• I’ve been obsessed with avocado toast for a while, but recently I started adding this seasoning to the top of my avocado, and it makes my avocado toast at least 10X better. I also think I like it best with Dave’s Killer Bread, but the thinly sliced loaf. The full sized bread is thick and amazing, but almost too filling. The thinner sliced bread with 1/2 an avocado smashed on top, Kosher salt + Tajin seasoning is my absolute favorite.

• I just started taking Vital Proteins Collagen Peptides power last week. I’ve taken it every day for the past 5 days now. I talked a little about it on my Insta stories, but if this stuff works the way I’m hoping it will work, I should have the skin of a baby cherub by Valentine’s day. • This past weekend we saw The Greatest Showman. It was fabulous. I would let the boys see it for sure. It lived up to the good reviews I had been hearing about it, and I bought the soundtrack this week. The only thing is…now that I’ve seen Hamilton, nothing will ever come close to comparing to it for the rest of my life. The Greatest Showman is avocado toast. And Hamilton is avocado toast with Tajin seasoning.
