Black and white is a great color combination for simpler looks. I love the neckline and details in this black and white ruffled blouse. The gingham pattern and light weight material make it an easy transition into spring. You could also pair this top with mules, casual sneakers, or sandals for warmer weather. There’s a lot of flexibility in dressing a black and white top up or down, which I love!

I love wearing black and white, although it doesn’t happen too often. I wore this black and white outfit with a pop of red a few months ago, and this look from Fashion Week is one of my black and white favorites!

THREE THINGS

1. Yesterday I didn’t change out of the clothes I slept in. And I didn’t really even change into normal pajamas either. I wanted to focus on getting things done around the house, but not working out and looking/dressing sloppy made me tired and unmotivated. It’s crazy how much of a difference a morning workout and/or getting dressed (even just clean clothes and minimal makeup) does for my mental motivation!
2. A few weeks ago I wanted to work on Cash’s self talk and help strengthen his mental self confidence, so at night I made him repeat phrases out loud like “I’m smart,” “I am strong,” “I’m a good helper,” “I am loved.” I did that with Bradley too. The second night Cash asked if we could do that again, and it has been a fun little note to end the day on. I even do it with Eli, and it is so cute! This week I switched to having them repeat these phrases in the car on the way to school, and I end it with “today is going to be a great day!” and I do it with each boy. I honestly feel like it makes them (and me!) have a more positive day! The power of saying motivating words out loud is so real!
3. I ordered our dining room table this week, and I can’t wait to get it! It’s the first “official” piece of furniture we have purchased since moving into our new home and I stewed over the decision for weeks. I can’t believe how long house decorating decisions are taking me!
