My philosophy behind planning outfits for family pictures is to start with my outfit and go from there. I can incorporate an additional color or pattern in my kids’ clothing, but I have to really like my outfit to start! I also try not to incorporate more than three colors. Only two colors can feel too matchy-matchy to me and four colors can be too overwhelming on the eye.
