ELLE APPAREL REDESIGN REVEAL + MY FAVORITE’S GIVEAWAY!

Its finally here! Welcome to the fresh new look of Elle Apparel! I am so excited to share this bright new space with you. My site has needed a face lift for…years. But manufacturing and selling my clothing line, the launch of The Modern Girls Guide to Sewing, and the birth of my 3rd baby boy all took center stage throughout the past four years. After the dust settled, I really took my time in making my blog a reflection of me and my personal style. I am so thrilled with the outcome and I hope you love it too! I figured my birthday week was the perfect time to roll out all the changes!

First things first, I put together a HUGE GIVEAWAY to celebrate Elle Apparel’s redesign!! It’s all of my very favorite things wrapped up into a giant giveaway with EIGHT lucky winners! There are some really amazing features that I have implemented in my blog now that make it so much easier for you to find specific posts, clothing items, and gain inspiration. Here is a quick little guide for exploring my site…

First things first, the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale has its own tab (temporarily). ha ha! I keep that tab up to date with all the best finds for Women, Beauty, Baby/Kids, and Men. Check that one frequently because I’m always adding new items when other ones sell out.
Under the SHOP tab, you can view all of my latest outfit posts on instagram and shop each look easily.
The SHOP tab also links to my Currently Loving page, which holds all of the styles and items I am loving right now. These items are updated frequently as the styles and seasons change, so make sure you check back to see which things I have on my wishlist. I also link to my favorite styles for Men, Baby/Kids, and Home Decor as well.it’s a one stop shopping spot, and I only include items that I really love.
I separated the CATEGORIES tab into all the different types of posts I do on Elle Apparel. It is divided up by Fashion, Beauty, Family, Interiors, Pregnancy, Health, Travel, and Holiday posts. It’s a quick way to search through what really interests you.
With a fresh new site comes the addition of a newsletter that will keep you updated on my latest style tips, tutorials, and new trends I’m excited to try! I have a lot of fun things in store for my newsletter so make sure you subscribe.
I am working on answering a lot of your frequently asked questions over on my FAQ page. If there is something you would like me to include, email me! I love hearing from you!
Now this is one of the features I am most excited about. I have categorized all of my outfit posts by Casual, Dressy, Momiform, and Maternity looks under the LOOKBOOK tab. So if you just found out that you are expecting and have no idea how to dress that growing bump in the first trimester, its easy to find my “Dressing the Bump” series for lots of first trimester style ideas. Or, if you have a fancy office party coming up next month, you can get lots of dress inspiration easily. I tailored this feature specifically for you.
My sewing tutorials are all like my little babies (..girl babies!) and they needed their own personal space. Check out my TUTORIALS tab to see all of the dozens and dozens of clothing tutorials I have done.

MEALTIME MADE EASY + A GIVEAWAY!

Confession: I have never owned a high chair. For Bradley and Cash I just used a little chair that attached to one of our normal chairs and figured that was good enough. But this time around I finally got a real live high chair and it is the biggest help. I didn’t know what I was missing with the other two! I opted to get the new 4moms High Chair and it has made mealtime around here so much easier. I am a huge fan of 4moms after using their mamaRoo. They thought of everything with that swing and they hit it out of the park with this high chair as well.

As a mom of three boys, so much of our day is spent in the kitchen fixing food, eating food, cleaning up food, and repeating it all an hour later. Everyone always seems to be hungry at the same time, so I’m grateful my 4moms high chair lets me hold Eli with one arm and disconnect the magnetic tray easily with the other. Magnetic. Did you guys catch that? Its absolutely as amazing as it sounds. I always multitask my way through mealtime, and this easy on easy off tray is such a help!

Sometimes when I can’t feed Eli his rice cereal fast enough, he swipes the spoon from me and takes matters into his own hands. This genius magnetic tray also has a magnetic bowl, so I don’t have to stress about him giving himself a rice cereal bath when I’m not looking.

We’re all like a little Eli fan club in our house, and he gets a kick out of being able to watch his big brothers. At dinner I scoot his high chair up to our table so that he can get in on all the action.

ON ELI: STRIPED ROMPER BY JUNE & JANUARY

I do all my feedings on the tray cover of the high chair, and disconnect it to quickly rinse it off in the sink. So no matter how messy it gets introducing Eli to prunes, cleaning up the highchair is easy. Cleaning his face and hair on the other hand, might be a different story.

This high chair is something I actually love having in my kitchen because of its gorgeous modern design! How many baby items can you say that about? I am so excited to finally announce that Merrick and I have officially launched The Modern Girl’s Guide To Sewing! SUMMER DAYS + A PETUNIA PICKLE BOTTOM GIVEAWAY!

My boys and I have been spending a lot of our days outside this summer. Between soccer practice for Cash, golf lessons for Bradley, and weekly park play dates, we are always on the go. I usually keep things really casual and throw on a simple pair of Chuck Taylors or sandals and a comfy tee. It’s usually way too hot and I’m way too pregnant for pants, so a comfy stretchy skirt is always what I reach for when I’m in a hurry to get out the door.

Another thing I grab on the go is a big tote bag that fits all my necessities- sunscreen, water bottles (for all 3 of us), sunglasses, wipes, and food. Always food. HERE COMES THE SUN // RAY BAN GIVEAWAY

Sunglasses are something that I feel like I’m always on the hunt for. I find myself walking slowly down the sunglass isle and trying on a few here and there even if sunglasses aren’t on my list of things to get. It wasn’t until a few years ago that I started investing in more quality sunglasses. I make sure to always have an inexpensive Target pair in my purse or as a backup, but I would much prefer to drive with ones that are made well and fit my face correctly.

Ray Ban Aviators have been around forever, and the style is classic. I thought I would add a little color with mine this time around from Sunglasses Shop and I love it. There was such a variety online when I was shopping, it took me a full week to decide (it was either the green ones I got or the same ones in blue). I can never have enough tortoise shell glasses, so those were probably second on my list.

In high school I had the hardest time paring a blue top with jeans. It was just too much blue for me. But now I love a good monochromatic look. Navy, distressed jeans, a touch of chambray, and a pop of pattern help mix up the colors a bit to keep the look understated but still interesting. (I have been living in this hat btw). What colors do you gravitate to when you want to be comfy and casual?

Transitioning my wardrobe from Winter to Spring is something I look forward to each year. The floral trend might be my favorite trend to wear right now. Florals can be a bit tricky to pull off sometimes, because the print can really make or break the look. A full floral dress can be overwhelming if the print is to big or too loud. I like to break up my floral pieces and incorporate them into my accessories. For this casual look, I took my favorite over-sized white tee, and added my pop of floral print in my scarf and flats. It a great way to pull off the floral trend without looking like you are trying too hard.

LOOKING FORWARD {+ A GIVEAWAY}

I hope everyone is enjoying their New Year! I love the start of a new year and the chance to reassess and make goals. I’ve thought a lot about what I want for this new year and up there at the top of my list is living more in the moment. I am constantly juggling multiple balls at once, and I want to do a better job at taking the time to focus on one thing at a time. Whether it is feeding my kids lunch, responding to emails, or just chatting on the couch at night with my husband, I want to set my phone down, forget about my to-do list, and just be there.
