1.COGNAC BOOTS – I get a good pair every year and I opted for the classic silhouette of these. Got them in black as well and will pair them with cropped denim or skinnies.
2. TAN TORY BURCH LOAFERS – I grabbed these because they will go with everything and the pointy toe is slimming, which it hard to achieve with a flat.
3. BLACK WATERPROOF BOOTS – I’ve been on the fence about a pair like this for a year but pulled the trigger because I now have seasons! Love the quilted detail.
1.CHANEL CHANCE PERFUME – Thrilled to see this perfume included in the sale. One of my favorites (I wore it to the dress tour), sophisticated floral scent that lasts all day for real.
2. ANASTASIA BROW GEL – Forgot I owned this and have been using it everyday since I found it. I flick my brows up with it after I fill them in and they look full and stay in place.
3. ALL-NIGHTER SETTING SPRAY– My favorite setting spray. Always use after I do a full face of makeup.
4. BEAUTY BIO GLOW PRO– If you are going to get one beauty tool, make it this. It has helped with fullness and fine lines in my skin with actually visible results. Helps me absorb product more. I wrote a post about it here.
5. CHARLOTTE TILBURY EYE CREAM TRIO – I rarely fall in love with an eye cream but this one is this and hydrating (not greasy) that is worth recommending.
6. NEULASH – I started using this again after being pregnant and two for the price of one is a great deal. Helped me grow my lashes back after extensions.

The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is famous for having the hottest items on sale before anyone else. It’s also notorious for how quickly good items sell out. Here is everything you need to know about shopping the sale this year (there are a few new changes!)
WHEN IS THE NSALE?
Early Access to the public starts at 9:30am PST July 12-18
The sale is open to everyone July 19- August 4.
WHAT DOES EARLY ACCESS MEAN AND HOW CAN I SHOP THE SALE EARLY
The Nordstrom card is the key to getting early access to the sale. With a Nordstrom credit card you also get 3 points for every dollar you spend online or in store. I highly recommend getting a Nordstrom card if you are planning on shopping the sale this year. The past 2 years many of the best items sold out before the sale opened to the public, and there was never a restock. I can’t stress enough how important it is to get the card so that you can shop the Early Access portion of the sale if you are really hoping to score some of the best items. One exciting thing if you don’t already have a Nordstrom card is that from now until July 10th, Nordstrom will give you a $60 Bonus note (this means you get $60 you can use right away on the sale!).

WHAT WILL BE ON SALE?
I did a fun Instagram Live yesterday talking all about what will be included in the sale. I was give 3 days early access to the sale online last weekend, so I poured through everything. It miiight have take 6+ hours, but I have all of my top picks from every single category ready to go. From womens, shoes, activewear, beauty, baby, mens, I’ve seen it all. And it’s good.
I will post all of my sale pics on the blog on July 12th at 9:30 am PST right when the sale goes live. Shopping that sale is extremely overwhelming. There are thousands and thousands of items, but my post will have the best of the best.
Here are a few things I talked about on my live yesterday that will be included in the sale that I’m excited about:
DRESSES – so many great dresses this year! I picked some really cute ones, including a great leopard one and a navy dress that has such a classic cut. Also one of my favorite knit dresses that sold out a few years back! They are brining it back in a really pretty color, I can’t wait to show you.
LEATHER JACKETS– I picked out 2 great black leather jackets, and a good suede one!
SHOES– Booties and flats galore. Open toe booties you can wear right now, and a beautiful pair of flattering pointed toe nude flats. One of my most comfortable pumps will be on sale in multiple colors too.
BABY– The Nuna Pipa carseat I used with Eli will be part of my sale picks, along with a convertible carseat, a beautiful stroller, a leather Freshly Picked backpack + more
BEAUTY – Some of my favorite beauty items I’m including in my game-changing derma roller, 2 of my favorite Le Labo scents, a great texturizing spray, my microdermabrasion tool, and an awesome tool that really helps with fine lines and fullness. Also the lip liner I’ve been wearing a lot lately and the Chloe perfume Garrett got me for Christmas.
JEANS – They have my favorite jeans from the sale last year! I picked 4-5 good dark denim, a lighter distressed jean, some Madewell jeans…lots of good jeans.
ACTIVEWEAR– This is one of the categories I’m most excited about. Wait until you see the 3 sneakers I picked! I also picked one of my favorite black high waisted leggings (they will be on sale for $38) and a pink pair and light blue pair that will go fast.

My biggest tip for shopping the Nordstrom Sale is to do it online. It’s fast and free shipping and you don’t have to fight any of the crowds. Also, when you shop in person you are at the mercy of what your store has. Online there are hundreds of more options your store won’t carry.
If you aren’t sure about sizing, order 2 sizes.Nordstrom’s free shipping/return policy makes shopping so painless. Your order will come with a return label, so if there is anything you don’t want, just stick it on your box and set it outside for the mailman to pick up. You don’t even need to make a separate trip to the Post Office!

MY TOP BABY PICKS FROM THE NORDSTROM ANNIVERSARY SALE
I know how crazy overwhelming it can be for expecting moms to prep for your first baby, or when you are entering the land of multiple kids! The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2018 has so many good baby items this year I decided to dedicate an entire post to baby gear. From strollers to carseats to diaper bags, I was so impressed with their selection and sale prices. You can view my Ultimate Baby Registry Guide post here if you need even more direction on baby items I love and used!
BABY JOGGER CITY SELECT: Thee stroller. The ONE. This is my favorite stroller of all time and I included it on my Ultimate Baby Registry Guide. I did hours of research on it and I opened up my own Etsy shop and and sewed and sold cardigans in order to save up money to buy this stroller. It’s worth every cent and it’s $130 off and still in stock! It’s amazing because it grows as your family grows. You can always use it as a single, but it’s easy to pop on the second stroller when your second baby comes. I’ve had mine for 6 years and I couldn’t love it more.
PETUNIA PICKLE BOTTOM CHIC BLACK DIAPER BAG: A Petunia Pickle Bottom bag was the only thing I wanted when I was pregnant with Bradley! This bag is so beautiful and classic and the shape is great for holding all your baby gear. An amazing price at just over $100!
PREMIUM POP-UP PLAY PEN: Where on earth was this when Eli was a baby? How great would this be to take to the park, beach, or Grandma’s house? It even has a little sun blocker..so genius. On sale for under $50.
3-IN-1 INFANT LOUNGER: A baby lounger is a must with a baby, especially if you have other kids to take care of! I like that this one is lightweight and fold up super compact for storage or travel.
MUSTELA BABY LOTION ESSENTIALS KIT: We are huge Mustela fans. I think I own every one of their products. This is such a great kit for under $20! Perfect for a baby shower gift.
CRANE AIR DROP HUMIDIFIER: We have gone through our fair share of humidifiers in our house and this one is my favorite. It’s out lasted all our others, and the smaller nozzle turns, allowing you can direct it right toward your baby’s crib- super helpful when your babies have colds or croup.
ADIN & ANAIS SWADDLE: These were a baby must have for use! Lightweight and perfect for swaddling. On sale for under $30- would make a great baby shower gift.
LITTLE GIRAFFE LUX BABY BLANKET: I had this baby blanket with Eli and it was as soft as a cloud! I love loved wrapping him up in it!
BOTTLE DRYING RACK: This one is super small and compact and still holds a ton of bottles- great if you have limited counter space like we did when Bradley was a baby in our first apartment!
CHEWBEADS: Bless who ever invented these. Cutest teething toys out there. Eli loved them!
QUILTED SLEEPSACK: My babies always slept better swaddled and this sleep sack keeps them nice and secure. They can’t wiggle their arms out and wake themselves up!

TheNordstrom Anniversary Sale is famous for having the best quality beauty products available during their sale and I think this year they had more brands that I use any love than any other year! I went through every single product on sale in the beauty section of the sale and I broke down the best products and what I love about each one..
One of my favorite tools features in my 3 Beauty Tools I Love post is the PMD! THIS BLUSH PMDis on sale for under $100 and is one of my Nsale tried and true musts. Lots of you have asked me about the difference between this classic PMD and the Pro that is slightly more expensive- the Pro version has a 4th super coarse attachment (which would probably be too harsh for most skin types) and a dual speed option…not with the extra $ in my opinion. But here on the blog is where you will find all of the information in one spot.
Last week I got an exclusive look at the entire Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. I’m talking…EVERYTHING. I can promise you..this is going to be a good sale. While I can’t share everything with you just yet, I am going to let you in on some of my all time favorite items/products that will be on sale starting Thursday. In addition, which ones I think will sell out fast.
Before I dive in, I want to remind you that if you don’t have a Nordstrom card you won’t be able to shop this sale during their early access time period starting Thursday. I’m not huge on having a ton of cards and I’m very selective about cards I apply for. However, I highly recommend getting a Nordstrom card here before the sale starts if you don’t have one. It’s free and it gives you access to all the sale items early. Make sure you check out my6 tips for shopping the Nordstrom Anniversary sale post to find out why the card is so important. Also, why it made all the difference to have during last years sale.
HOT ITEMS THAT WILL BE INCLUDED IN THE NORDSTROM ANNIVERSARY SALE
I predict this one will be extremely popular because they are such amazing lip products. A pack of 3 will be on sale for just under $40.
Not too many running shoes- I was surprised! But there is always a good pink pair and this year Adidas will have a really cute pair that are identical to this color! This is always a fast sell out! I have this pair of Adidas I wore in this postand I love them for running between 2-5 miles.
MY SALE SELL OUT PREDICTIONS

I went back to look through all of the baby/kids items that will be part of the sale and you guys!! My favorite FAVORITE stroller ever is going to be on sale for $130 off! It is normally $529 and will be on sale for $396. I literally opened up an Etsy shop when I was pregnant with Cash and sewed and sold clothing so that I could afford this stroller. It converts to a double stroller easily and you aren’t stuck always having a double.
I also stuck my infant seat on with the adapter with Eli, AND I take it running. It technically isn’t a running stroller…but it has worked just fine for me for the past 5 years! I was chatting with the manager of my Nordstrom yesterday and she said “this stroller is going to sell out fast“. I will be doing a full baby roundup post, but I will add this stroller and another stroller to my post on Thursday so they are easy for you to access if you are in the market for a stroller! You can see more images of the stroller in this post. It is the ONLY full size stroller you will need because it can grow with you. I talk ALL about this stroller in my Ultimate Baby Registry Guide post.
Quay is one of my favorite sunglass brands and there are FIVE Quay sunglasses that will be on sale ranging from $32-$39 (regularly $60). INCLUDING the La Playa sunglasseswhich are a favorite of mine. I have them in silver and you can see them in past posts here and here. No way these ones last long in the sale.
My favorite running leggings are on sale every year and there will be some amazing options this year! I always get the high waisted long leggings. This year they will have a red pair that will sell out! On sale for under $40 (normally $59). You can view one of my favorites from this brand in this blog post.
Its my favorite candle ever and I always stock up. I predict everyone will be stocking up too since it will be on sale for under $20.
My all time favorite V-neck teewill be on sale for under $20 (normally $32) and I always stock up on them! This year there will be a black and white striped one (along with about 5 other colors) and I predict the striped one will sell out fast. That will be the first one I add to my cart! These tops run pretty big. I have some in a small that are very oversized, and some in an XS that fit me perfectly, so I would suggest sizing down. I’m wearing the white V-neck tee in this blog post.
There is always an amazing bootie that is the envy of all (like this one from 2 years ago, andthis one from last year). I have my eyes on about 5 of them. Butthis designerhas an amazing one that will be on sale for under $100 that will sell out fast I predict!
They will have a cognac tote bag almost identical to the one I use all the time. It’s my most used bag and if you are in the market for one hope on this bag on Thursday! The one I will be recommending will be on sale for $352, almost $200 off the normal price. This bag lasts forever, holds its shape, and goes with everything. You can see the one I use here.
An insane sale on classic matte black Hunter boots and quilted boots in the short and tall versions. Just ONE color available though, so these ones will go fast! On sale for under $100!
I am crushing on 2 pairs of block heels by one of my favorite shoe brands. Both will be on sale for under $80. One in a velvet lavender, one in a burgundy tweed and I predict both colorways will sell out first.
I saw about 5-6 of myfavorite denim brands, and I have my eye on a pair of high waisted denim jeansthat look really cute in the images, I can’t wait to try those on and give you a full review.
I mentioned this in my stories, and I really feel strongly like I should share this here as well. While The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is so much fun to shop and so much fun for me to cover for you. I do remember very clearly what is was like a few years ago when I couldn’t afford to shop the sale. Garrett was in law school and I had just quit my job to stay at home with our first baby. Even the basic tops that were on sale for $20 were out of my budget!
It was definitely hard not feeling like I could participate.
However, I want to tell all of you in similar financial situations it is just fine. Every blogger on the planet will be covering this sale. And I know how easy it is to get down or feel like you should buy buy buy even when your financial situation isn’t at a point where it would be a smart move. I’m here to tell you there is a time and a season for this kind of thing.
It’s not the end of the world if you cant afford to shop the sale this year. Maybe you will next year, or in a few years! I know what the FOMO is like and I can totally relate and sympathize. I feel you girls! But it’s better to be financially smart about what you can realistically afford rather than go into debt! Anyway- that’s just my 2 cents. I don’t want anyone feeling sad or left out.. I try to always have everyone and every budget in mind!

SIX INSIDER TIPS FOR SHOPPING THE NORDSTROM ANNIVERSARY SALE IN 2018
Today I’m prepping you for one of the biggest and bestsales of the year – the Nordstrom Anniversary sale. This will be my FIFTH year shopping this sale on my blog. So I can confidently say, I’m a professional at this 😉
Many of you have followed along with my Nordstrom Anniversary Sale coverage for years. But if you are new around here, or new to the sale, this post is for you! Each year at the start of the sale, Elle Apparel is the place to be for a breakdown of all of the best items from the sale.
If you were to just dive into Nordstrom.com the morning of the sale, it can be very overwhelming. I shop the sale in person first thing during the first morning of the early access portion of the sale. Then I go home and my team and I usually pull an all nighter. We comb through every inch of the sale to find the very best items to share here. So if you start your Nordstrom Anniversary Sale shopping here, you can save a ton of legwork trying to comb through all of the items by yourself. Plus I am an easy access for any questions on sizing, fit, or restocks.
The Anniversary Sale is famous for having the hottest items on sale before anyone else. It’s also notorious for how quickly good items sell out. Here are SIX insider tips to get the best deals on hot items before they’re gone. Plus, see how to be entered to win one of THREE $100 Nordstrom Gift cards to use during the sale!
TIP 1: KNOW THE SALE
The Nordstrom Anniversary sale is different than most of the big sales because instead of marking down clothing items that have been available for a while or are from past seasons, all of the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale items are brand new for the upcoming Fall season! This is your first look at the upcoming trends, and a rare chance to get brand new seasonal items at a deeply discounted rate. Once the sale is over, the items that are not sold out remain available. However the prices all increase to their normal price.
*2018 UPDATE:
In previous sales, many of the hot sale items are restocked once the prices go up. But my prediction is that this year, they will not restock very many of the popular sale items! I noticed this trend a little in 2016 and there were very few restocks during and after the sale last year! What does this mean for you and how can you avoid missing out on an item?
My suggestion is to shop the sale first thing during their Early Access portion of the sale (you must be a Nordstrom card holder to shop the sale- you can grab yours here– it’s free and you get $40 to spend at the sale for signing up!). If you see something you like, buy it online asap. You can always return it for free if you end up changing your mind. So you don’t have to worry about missing out on a hot item.
TIP 2: KNOW THE DATES
Nordstrom card holders get access to this sale first. It’s called the ‘Early Access’ portions of the sale, and it runs from July 12th-19th (get your own Nordstrom card + $40 to spend on the sale here) The sale opens to everyone from July 20th- August 5th.
*2018 UPDATE:
In previous years they only have a $20 Nordstrom note for signing up for the card, so this is double the amount as last year! If you don’t already have the card, this is a no brainer!
It opens up to the general public July 21st-Aug 6th. The sale ends, and prices go up, August 7th.
TIP 3: SHOP EARLY!
The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale preview catalog was just released yesterday and you can view it here. It’s a great way to do some pre-mental shopping to get a feel for the styles and prices you might want to take advantage of.
In order to get the sale price during the early access from July 12th-19th, you have to have a Nordstom card.
You can sign up for one online here. Get first dibs on the sale by applying for a Nordstrom debit or credit card and receive a $40 Nordstrom Note to use during the sale.
Is it worth it to get a Nordstrom card just for this sale?YES! The pieces with the best discounts usually are sold out by the third day of the Early Access portion of the sale. That means that if you don’t have a Nordstrom card, you won’t even get the chance to purchase the item before it sells out.
A few years ago I didn’t have a Nordstrom card, so I had to wait until the sale opened to the public to shop. I was so disappointed to find that a lot of the items on my wish list were sold out or out of my size. It’s absolutely crazy how fast some of the items go.
TIP 4: START YOUR SHOPPING HERE!

I pour through pages and pages of sale items (so you don’t have to) and only pick out the good stuff.Throughout the sale, I post about all my favorite buys (and why they are my favorites), I give dressing room peaks of multiple items and talk about the fit/style of each one, and I give fall styling tips to get your mind working on how you will want to style your sale buys.
The first post I do on the sale is all my favorite women’s fall items (coats, boots, jeans, tops, shoes, etc). Then I round up of all of the best BEAUTY SALE PRODUCTS, , ACTIVEWEAR, MENS, and KIDS & BABY sale items to make sure you are covered for every part of the sale.
TIP 5: SHOP ONLINE
Online, online, online. I cannot stress this enough! I always post all of my top picks from the sale by 6 am the morning the sale starts. Then, in order to give you a detailed description of which items are good quality, flattering on, and cuter in person, I always brave the crowds to find the best stuff in person, and I do a dressing room round-up the day after the sale goes live so you can get a good feel for the cut/sizing/fit of the best items. Then I also do a post with all of the full fall looks I end up taking home with me. I do all the legwork for you, so you have all the info you need to get the best items of the sale.
My advice to you is to get yourself a Nordstrom card if you don’t already have one.
Then check out my blog first thing the morning of July 12th. I usually pull an all-nighter the night before the sale, narrowing down the items online, to select the best stuff. Then, place your order online first thing.
If you aren’t sure about sizing, order 2 sizes. Nordstrom’s free shipping/return policy makes shopping so painless. Your order will come with a return label, so if there is anything you don’t want, just stick it on your box and set it outside for the mailman to pick up. You don’t even need to make a separate trip to the Post Office!
Another good smart tip:
If something you love is sold out in your size, buy it in any size you can find. Then hold on to it. Two weeks or even two months later when they restock the sizes and it’s regular priced you just take yours in and do a straight exchange! There is always a small chance it might not be restocked, but since these are all pre-fall items, they almost always restock. (if you are super worried, give them a call and ask, they might be able to tell you if they will be getting more in!)
TIP 6: SHOP SMART
I always do my research to know which items are hot and will go quickly, and I will make sure to alert you of which items will go the quickest, and of any restocks throughout the sale on Instagram and my Instagram stories. Here are some of my Nordstrom Anniversary Sale wish lists from years past…
I love the simplicity of a sweater and jeans look. This sweater is the perfect fall staple for wearing with jeans and some statement shoes (it would be perfect with these slides too). It has a looser fit, but it can still be dressed up or down easily because of the bell sleeves. It’s less than $40 and it comes in a soft grey too. These crop jeans are one of my favorites from the sale. They are perfectly distressed and have the best relaxed fit. There were so many cute shoes at the sale this year, with all kinds of unique details for adding to a simple look like this. But I love adding gold as a statement, and these pumps add just the right amount to dress up any look. I also love them in the pink velvet!
Blue was such a popular color at the sale this year, and the lighter shade in this tie sleeve blouse is so pretty. I was so excited to try this top on when I saw it, and I’m glad I did! It’s on sale for less than $50, has great bow details on the sleeves, and I can wear it now and as the weather cools down. It comes in four colors, including the prettiest burgundy that will be perfect for the fall. It runs pretty true to size, but order down if you’re in between sizes because it’s a relaxed fit. I ordered the XS, and it fits perfectly. These white jeans are still available and on sale for under $40! And my block heel sandals are also stocked and just around $70.
