I love floral dresses. LOVE them. I really wanted a floral dress to wear for Easter. In a perfect world I would have made my Easter dress…but that just didn’t happen this year. I rounded up some of my favorite floral dresses online today in honor of Easter weekend.
I scoured everywhere online and was a little underwhelmed at the floral print dresses I found Does anyone else feel this way? I feel like floral prints done right are SO good…but there are a lot of floral prints out there that miss the mark. Too busy, too youthful, too old, to bright, too bold.
Below are my favorite floral spring dresses available online.. I hope you all have a wonderful Easter! We have a church egg hunt bright and early Saturday morning and will be spending Easter with family!
I’ve been wearing a bold orchid lip over the past few years for spring and I am still so obsessed with this shade as a makeup color. This brilliant orchid shade was the main inspiration for The May Dress.
I knew I needed the perfect orchid shade of lip color, and I have been dying to try Tom Ford’s Lip Lacquer from Nordstrom and they had the perfect orchid shade with to go with The May Dress. This lip lacquer has 3 different finishes in metal, matte, and patent. I tried out a few shades in the metal finish. They were really beautiful! I picked up 3 different shades from Nordstrom so I could test out which color I liked the best. I love that Nordstrom Beauty let me test out a few different shade options to make sure I found the exact color that went with the dress.
They weren’t shimmery, more of a sophisticated iridescent look to them. The colors of all the shades are so pigmented. They stay put on my lips all day. The orchid shade I love so much is called “Violet Fatal” and it stayed the entire day. From 6 am prepping for the shoot, until I went to bed that night. I added “Claudia” by NARS to the insides of my lips as well. It’s another one of my favorite shades.
I kept with the orchid shade on my lips and cheeks. I didn’t do eyeliner with this look. Honestly I wanted to just let these beautiful purply pink shades really pop. This look can easily transition to an everyday look by only wearing an orchid lip, or orchid on the eyes with a pretty nude lip. Nordstrom Beauty is one of my favorite go to’s for the most beautiful quality makeup.

You can never have too many white tops during spring and summer! White always look so fresh and new to me, so finding a quality white top can take your outfits a long way. You can dress a white top up, or wear it casually with a favorite pair of jeans and sneakers. The options are endless. I found 7 white tops below that would be perfect for adding to your spring wardrobe.
The distressing on these white jeans is so good. I’ve had these for two years and they hold their shape, and they are the perfect length on me.
5. Choose similar shades. You don’t have to wear a stark contrasting color top for your white jeans to stand out. Picking lighter shades that closely match the white is really appealing to the eye.
6. Dress up your jeans. White jeans are really easy to dress up, and it doesn’t take much. Add a favorite pair of heels and you’ve completely changed your look.
9. Play up patterns. Unlike most denim, white jeans don’t have any distractions in the colors of the fabric because they are solid white. So adding patterns is really easy to do. White and gingham is a classic for spring.
10. Keep it simple. Like blue jeans, you can always keep your look simple with white jeans. Add your favorite plain tee, and you have an easy look that still looks put together.
11. Chambray never fails. White jeans and chambray just work together. Chambray stands out really well on the white, and it’s a classic look that always looks great in the spring.
I hope you all had a happy Mother’s Day! The boys were so cute and spoiled me with cards and a yummy breakfast. I took the older two boys out to a movie (just the three of us) Saturday night, and it was one of the funnest nights we have had together in a long time! We went to see “Boss Baby,” and I was surprised at how much I loved it! At one point toward the end of the movie, I looked over at Cash and he was getting emotional at a touching scene. I love the sweet tender hearts my boys have! They felt so special being able to have all of my attention, and I was happy to give it!
This pretty floral number is so perfect for spring! Since it is a bit cropped, I like pairing it with my favorite high waisted jeans. For a date night, I threw on a cute pair of ankle strap sandals, but it would also be cute with a pair of nude flats.
Wedding season is upon us! The springtime is probably my most favorite season out of the year. It is so perfect for weddings, in fact we are celebrating our 10 year anniversary at the end of this month!
With all of the spring wedding invites that will be showing up in your mailbox in the next few months, I wanted to highlight a few great new spring dresses I discovered while browsing through all the new dress arrivals at Modcloth. Modcloth.com is like a little gem of a website. They have so many pretty and unique pieces, and so many of their new dresses would be perfect for an upcoming wedding. I couldn’t pass up this long-sleeved lace number. It is unlike any other dress I’ve seen, and it’s so pretty in person. The embroidery and lace together make for an elaborate combination. I always try to steer clear of white or ivory dresses for a wedding (there is just no breaking that rule, unless you are a bridesmaid and the bride requests it!). I love that this dress is a light ivory, but the black lace definitely keeps it from looking too bridal, making it perfect for a wedding guest.
I rounded up all of my favorite Modcloth dresses that would be great to wear to a spring wedding below. I especially love the cut and bodice detailing of this dress, and the flutter sleeves on this dress. I’m always a sucker for coral!
The Nordstrom Half Yearly Sale is going on now through June 5th! I went through and picked out my favorite items and put them below in categories so they’re easy to shop straight from this post. I was actually surprised at how fast items are selling out! A lot of things only had a few sizes left, only a few hours after the sale started. So don’t wait if you love something because chances are it won’t be there when you come back for it later!
Overall, I think this sale has a lot of really great practical items that will work for both Spring and Summer. If you’re like me, you can appreciate the value of quality basics that work with multiple outfits, like this top that comes in a few different colors, and this flowy top that is so comfy and flattering. There are lots of cute sandals and flats too. I love these wrap sandals, and these studded flats. And don’t miss out on some really cute bags, like this Rebecca Minkoff tote in grey. Have fun shopping, and let me know what you guys find out there!

Happy Tuesday everyone! I love how simple, yet elegant this look is. This amazing blue eyelet top is so feminine with the prettiest details. The light blue almost looks white, so it works perfectly with these white pants and pale blue wedges. I threw in some pretty bright pops of color with this adorable bag and turquoise ring. I went with NARS lipstick in the color ‘Catherine,’ which is an orangey pink that ties in really well with the pale blues. I kept the earrings distinctive and white, so that they weren’t taking away from the rest of the pieces. And I always love a simple gold watch. Tie it all together with this perfume, which smells amazing and lasts all day, and you’re set.
You can shop all of these outfit details by clicking through the links below or by item name above. Have a great rest of your day, and remember to check back here Thursday for all my Nordstrom Half Yearly Sale finds!

It’s Saturday again! Time for another roundup of some of my Instagram looks throughout the week. In case you didn’t know, next Wednesday the 25th Nordstrom is having their Half Yearly sale. I’m going to be doing a post with all of my sale finds, so be on the lookout for that next Thursday on the blog! I hope you guys have a great weekend!
Black distressed pants are such a great alternative to jeans. I love how easily you can dress them up or down. And this faux leather jacket is such a must this Spring. It’s easily been one of my favorite staples. I find that it goes with everything.
I’ve said it before, but this skirt is everything. It has the prettiest details that are so easy to dress up. It can easily go with a colorful top if you feel like adding some color. But I love how it looks with this solid black top. I love a good head-to-toe black look.
This bathing suit is adorable. You can’t really tell from the picture, but the top part is basically one big bow. Seriously so cute, and it stands out just enough from a basic striped suit because of the bow detail.
I love this vest so much, and my favorite part is the rough edges. I know it sold out fast, but I finally found one with really similar distressing. It is the perfect spring to summer piece that goes with a basic top and jeans outfit so easily. I find myself throwing it on with so many different outfits.
All white looks are everywhere this spring and I love it. I’ve been wearing a lot of white recently (I Instagramed a few looks here, here and here). It just feels so pretty and fresh. One of my favorite spring trends is white bags. This white clutch is so simple and basic, and such a good size. I also wore it in this post. I recently picked up this Kate Spade bag (you can see it in this post), and it’s a perfect everyday bag. The color is ‘crisp linen,’ and it is the perfect shade. It’s sliqhtly off white, but not too grey. I love having one white clutch I can dress up with, and one a bit more casual for everyday looks.
Nordstrom has so many pretty white options. I’ve highlighted a few of my favorites below:
Nordstrom just got this style similar to my clutch but slightly more embellished.
This clutch is simple and classy, and a great price point at under $50.
Saddlebags are some of my favorite bags, and I’m obsessed with the gold studs on this one!
The perforated leather on this white tote is gorgeous! It would make such a cute bag to bring to the beach!
I love the look of this crisp clean crossbody bag.
THE TOP TREND SERIES: FOUR WAYS TO STYLE WHITE LINEN PANTS
It’s a new month, so it’s time for another Top Trend Series post! This month the must have item I am loving is white linen pants. Wide leg pants are super popular right now, but I just can’t jump on the wide leg jean cropped pants. But, I have been wanting a pair of white linen pants for over a year, and
>these ones from Nordstrom are the perfect pants to work the wide leg trend. I posted this pair a few weeks ago over on my instagram.
White pants are super versatile already, but the lightweight linen fabric screams summer vacation. A big bonus about these pants is that they are really comfy! I love this pair, and I think they are a great price. These ones run big (I got an x-small), so just be aware. The wide legs can be a little tricky to style proportionately, so I’ve broken down each of the four looks below and why they work.
A classic black and white striped tee is always a good choice with white pants. Since this top is oversized, I tucked just the front of the top in a bit to define the waist, and I layered it with a basic jean jacket to pull it in a bit. I’m such a sucker for baseball caps, and I think this casual black one balances out the casual linen pants.
White on white is one of my most favorite looks to wear this season. It’s so crisp and clean. For this look I opted not to tuck in my top because the blouse is a nicer drapey fabric, and it hangs beautifully when left untucked. The pants are a casual linen, but I like the juxtaposition of the casual linen next to the nicer blouse. I added my slightly off white Kate Spade crossbody bag and pale blue flats to keep with the light theme, but to add some slight shade contrasts.
This look might be my very favorite. I wasn’t going to tuck in my chambray top, but I think it adds just the right amount of structure when it’s tucked into the pants. Untucked looked a bit too sloppy for me. I loosely rolled the sleeves and popped the collar just a bit too. White and light blue with a pop of bright coral red is one of my favorite color combinations!
For this look I picked a drapey blouse as well, but because it’s so long I needed to tuck in the front. The back is super long but I like the look of it long and untucked. A long necklace mimics the length of the top and makes the pairing look intentional. I added some cute patterned flats and a dressy clutch to make these pants date night ready.

These pants are lightweight so they would be great for throwing in your suitcase for a sunny vacation! I think they would also be an easy cute swim coverup option. Nordstrom has a few other really cute white linen pant options that I’ve linked to below..
