I was surprised how much I liked the look of my mustard yellow top with a navy midi skirt. I made my lace skirt, but this one is so similar, and it’s only $25! Midi skirts are so easy to dress up during the holidays, and they give you length for warmth. When paired with a delicate top or blouse, you really can’t go wrong in terms of mixing colors and patterns to keep your look unique and trendy.

Two hungry boys in the dressing room gets a little crazy at times, but it didn’t stop me from finding some cute new staples for the season! I think greys are a really great neutral for fall, and pairing a lighter and darker shade of grey together is the perfect compliment. This light grey top is actually a crewneck sweatshirt, believe it or not. It’s almost completely sold out, but this one is a very similar style (and only $26), and this one looks nearly identical (only it’s actually sweater material).

These Nikes are the prettiest things ever. If these don’t make you want to take up working out, I don’t know what will. They are the most vivid color violet ever. But the best part about them is that they are only $60, with free shipping! They were $46 when I posted them earlier this week, but that was a one day sale for that color, so the price went back up. Even at $60 though, you can’t go wrong!

I love how easily my grey crewneck transitioned from a casual piece to a dressier one with some simple statement jewelry (and a simple choker) and some nude pumps. Normally I’m a gold jewelry girl, but this silver necklace worked perfectly with this grey outfit. These grey jeans are going to be a new favorite of mine, I can already tell. They are very flattering and super versatile for casual and dressy looks.

This white top is one of my favorites. It layers so well (especially with a fitted blazer to make your look more tailored), and it’s the perfect length. It’s also marked down 40% right now, so it’s under $30! Sizes are really limited, but if they have your size I would definitely recommend it as a staple for fall! There are unlimited ways to wear a white button up. These jeans are under $70 and really comfortable. The distressing is more subtle on them too.

I love long vests. They are so versatile and will definitely transition into fall perfectly. I linked to two similar long vests. This long light grey vest is on sale for $40, and this one comes in either a darker grey or black and is under $35! Both are great options for lots of cute fall looks. It’s so easy to add some contrast and layer long sweater vests over dresses for fall. This black dress is really similar to mine, just with a little bit shorter sleeves (which is great for throwing under a long sweater for fall), and it’s on sale right now for under $20!

This pink blazer is supposed to be oversized, but I love that it doesn’t lose it’s feminine touch even with the slouchiness. I like it with this white peplum top because it’s a little more tailored than the blazer, and I think it adds some definition to the look. This peplum top is similar, but it’s sleeveless and has some ruffles that dress it up a bit more. It also comes in a red that would be really pretty for the fall.

This striped top is such a flattering fit and cut, and it’s the perfect length too. Unfortunately it’s sold out in the black and white stripes, but the last time I checked they still had it in solid black and solid white with limited sizes. And it’s less than $15 now! It does run big, but the fit is supposed to be looser. I’m wearing a medium and you can see that the fit is baggier, which I wanted. My wedges are now under $50 (40% off!). I have worn them all summer, for both casual looks like this and more dressed up looks, and they are definitely one of my favorite pairs.

 

Happy September everyone! I am still having trouble with the idea that summer is coming to an end, but we have a lot to look forward to with fall and some warmer weather clothes coming up! Black distressed pants are such a great alternative to jeans. I love how easily you can dress them up or down. And this faux leather jacket is such a must this Spring. It’s easily been one of my favorite staples. I find that it goes with everything.

This bathing suit is adorable. You can’t really tell from the picture, but the top part is basically one big bow. Seriously so cute, and it stands out just enough from a basic striped suit because of the bow detail.

I love this vest so much, and my favorite part is the rough edges. I know it sold out fast, but I finally found one with really similar distressing. It is the perfect spring to summer piece that goes with a basic top and jeans outfit so easily. I find myself throwing it on with so many different outfits.

  • Asos has lots of great sunglasses on sale right now too. I couldn’t resist this pair. They are adorable and under $30!
  • These pumps are so pretty! I don’t know what I love more, the big bow or the color. Blush and rose pink are colors you don’t want to pass up this Spring.

1. Summer is definitely on my mind lately, especially as we prepare for a family vacation next month. And I’m getting so excited about all the adorable bathing suits like this one and this one. These suits are so feminine and simple, and I love the scallop details and the fact that they are all white. I also think this swimsuit coverup is so fun. It adds some great color to your beach day look. 
2. You can also find some of my favorite jeans, like these that are perfectly distressed and so comfortable. And this pair, with a little less distressing. Both of these are under $100 before the 25% off too, which is too good to pass up. 
3. There are so many amazing sunglasses to check out too. I love the unique shape of these a lot, but then I couldn’t resist the round pairs I found like this one. 
4. If you’re starting to look at shoes and tops for summer, then you have to see these sandals that are so perfect for pairing with just about anything. They would go great with some jeans and a white top, like this white blouse or this button down. I also love these nude flats paired with jeans or a summer dress.
5. Shopbop always has great bags. I absolutely love this brown bag. It’s a classic look and a great color to transition from Spring to Summer. And this leopard clutch is adorable. It’s always fun to have statement pieces like this that add some variety to your typical look. 
6. When it comes to Spring and Summer you can’t go wrong with a cute maxi. Add some cute sandals and simple jewelry like this gold cuff bracelet and you’re set.

  • I am loving all the pretty colors that come out in the Spring, and this guava skirt is no exception. Plus, it’s under $50! It’s simple but classic, making it so easy to dress up or dress down.
  • These sandals are the perfect addition to any Spring wardrobe. They are versatile and functional. Wear them with a simple dress, or add some color with a cute top and your favorite skinny jeans.
  • I love a blouse with feminine details. The color on this one alone is enough to make me want it, but you have to see all the pretty lace details on this top! Seriously in love.
  • If you’re looking for the perfect casual weekend top to add to your favorite jeans and sneakers look, this one has you covered. It is easily one of those tops I could see myself wearing everywhere and making part of my go-to ‘momiform’ pieces (refresher on the momiform here).
  • There are so many cute swimsuits and styles out this year that it’s hard to choose only a few favorites! I love the colors and subtle design in this one-piece. Plus, if you know how pricey swimsuits can get, you know that being under $50 makes this one a steal!

Lot’s of great sales going on this weekend, I had to do another instagram roundup/weekend deals post. The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale just started and if you don’t have an early access card, I would definitely recommend getting one to jump on these sales early.  I rounded up all of my favorites in this post, but included a few more that I snagged while shopping the sale below. J.Crew Factory is having a huge clearance sale! Their entire clearance section is an additional 50% off with code THEBIG50, and they have 14 pages of great things to shop. Here are some of my favorite finds this weekend…

-I picked up two of these tops at the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale  and I am do in love with them. They are super soft, work well for pregnancy, and I can’t wait to tuck them in a bit once my bump is gone! (they run really big, I got smalls!)

-It was love at first site with these navy/white striped bow pumps that are 50% off with code THEBIG50 making them only $30!  Its pretty much everything I love wrapped up into a shoe..

-These sweatpants are lightweight feel amazing on. They are slimming and I know I will live in mine after the baby is here. ($17 off!)

-My love affair with chartreuse continues, and I would snag this 50% off lace dress if I weren’t 8 months pregnant right now.

-I grabbed these booties at the Nordstrom sale as well.  They are some of the most functional booties I have found- low ankle boots that are easy to wear with jeans, and flat so I feel like I can wear them out and about with the kids. I wore them yesterday. (I got the light gray, but I’m kind of wishing I got the stone color..)

-The earring version of this pendant is adorable, but pretty small, so I opted for the necklace and I love it even more than the earrings.  My husband mentioned how much he loved the necklace too…so you know its a keeper!

-Everyone’s favorite ‘Live In’ leggings are currently on sale for less than $40!

Happy weekend everyone! This weekend Garrett and I are celebrating our 8th anniversary, so it’s such a special time for us. We went on a little babymoon weekend getaway a few weeks back so we are just heading out to a fun dinner tonight and keeping it low key. I’m sure we will watch our wedding video with the boys. This weekend will wrap up the Nordstrom Half-Yearly Sale (officially ends tomorrow), so I hurried and found some great pieces that are still in stock and on sale for at least 40% off. Shopbop also just added some great items to their sale section.  I’ve listed my favorites below:
  • There is one more style of blush colored clutch in the 40% sale and I was shocked it was restocked! This is such a hot color and the bag wont last long.
  • These sneakers are 40% off and I have had my eye on a pair for so long!
  • Such a great oversized white tee, and only $16.
  • Not totally sure I’m fully in on the flared jeans comeback, but these ones are pretty amazing. Not too flared, but still give a nod to the trend. 
  • Last call to stock up on these shirred tees. I love mine and wear them probably more than I should.
